HypnoBirthing (The Mongan Method) is a complete antenatal programme that teaches simple but effective method of self hypnosis, relaxation and breathing techniques for a more comfortable birth. HypnoBirthing induces a state of deep and serene relaxation which allows you to take control of your birthing and experience the magic and joy of it. You will then recognise that pain does not need to be a natural accompaniment to birth which is commonly portrayed on T.V. programmes or by well intentioned friends passing on their own experiences!
You will gain an understanding of how the birthing muscles work in perfect harmony when your body is deeply relaxed and you trust in your body to perform the job it is naturally designed to do.
If you are a subsequent mum to be then we will go over any particular issues from your previous births through a fear release session so you can then focus on your positive impending birth. If you are first time mum to be, we will also have a fear release session to replace any negative images of birth and replace them with positives one.
I would encourage your birth companion to attend and join in with the sessions so that they can support and encourage you during your birth and so they can feel involved with the birthing process.
